Fatherless children—a dilemma for societies. Such children can grow up hurt and confused, wondering where their dad is. Hundreds of years ago, widows and orphans were despised and often left to fend for themselves. Fatherless children have many issues to grind through, but God is there for them. His compassion shines strong in this passage. Think of people you know who are single parents. How can you show God’s compassion to them or their children this week?
